The Cocktail Reception

A cocktail reception at the Hanalei Hotel in Mission Valley on August 10 kicked off our 40th Reunion celebrations. The atmosphere was charged with laughter and amazement, lots of hugging and the occasional subdued reflections on life as we've discovered it. A video tape put together by George Lyons ran on a nearby TV set showing images of our school days and a memorial to those of our classmates no longer with us.

The occasion gave everyone a chance to interact and catch up with each others lives, tell tall tales, and laugh at the foibles of our teen years. The food was wonderful; kudos to our alumni committee for putting on such a grand party.

The Dinner Dance

The second evening's dinner dance was sound assisted by Cam Lindberg's awesome collection of music from the 50's and 60's which made it difficult not to "stroll" down the buffet line, or simply put down your plate and head for the dance floor.

Table-hopping excitement made semi-controlled chaos out of the attempt to corral everyone into group photos to commemorize the event. A valiant effort however, resulted in almost everyone being photographed for our alumni album. Special thanks to Micki Lambert for making the rounds to catch candid and closeup shots of the evening.
