Jon Wray writes:

Nancy Anne Brown was born on December 2, 1941 in Chicago, IL and moved to San Diego with her parents while in grade school, attending Pacific Beach Elementary, then Pacific Beach Junior High. She transferred to Marston Junior High when it opened. She attended Mission Bay High until Clairemont High opened. She married classmate, Jon Wray (Mission Bay 1960) on August 13, 1960. They had two children; Jon Jr., born April 8, 1961 and Jennifer, born December 17, 1962.

Over the years, she moved with Jon to Palm Springs, Oceanside, Tierrasanta, and Reseda, CA as well as San Antonio, TX., Miami and Fort Lauderdale, FL. For 8 years in Tarzana she owned a flower and gift shop and was President of the Tarzana Chamber of Commerce for 3 of those years. She was chosen as Woman of the Year for the San Fernando Valley Chambers of Commerce in 1982.

Nancy was diagnosed with breast cancer in August, 1995. Her prognosis was for 3 to 6 months. Happily, she was able to witness the birth of her first grandchild, Jordana, on June 23, 1994. She passed away on July 18, 1997 in Miami, FL. and is buried at Greenwood Cemetery in San Diego, CA

Nancy was a member of Kappa Omega, GAA, and Senior Y-Teens. She was also a part of the committee which wrote the ASB Constitution.
