Marilynn writes to us from her home in Washington state:
"I was so pleased to be included in the Class of '60 email. The photos from the reunions were fabulous; the years seem to have been kind to all of you. I loved all of them, what fun. I was saddened by the news of classmates who are no longer with us."

"I am a newlywed again, as of July 20th this year (2000), after being a widow for 15 years. I just married my very good friend and look forward to a comfortable and peaceful rest of my time here. We live in the Mill Creek area (of Washington) which is north of Seattle and south of Everett. Two of my four children live here in Washington and two of my girls live in Astoria, Oregon, so I guess we all still have webbed feet. I have 8 grandchildren who also live either in Oregon or Washington."

"I have worked for the same company since 1987 and have progressed from customer service to marketing coordinator and back again to having account responsibilities. I was (also) in the "rag biz" with my husband Bill both as manufacturer's reps for many men's sportswear lines and then opened and operated a Big & Tall mens store in Medford, Oregon."

Update 2010: We believe Marilynn is now living in Roseburg, Or.

Bobbi writes to us from Louisiana:

There is no picture of Bobbi because she says," after going to Alcott, PB Jr Hi, Marston, Mission Bay and then Clairemont, all with the same kids, my family moved to La Mesa halfway through senior year. I'll get my picture from Helix. I'm sure someone will remember me. I was the publicity person for Betty Gordon when she ran for office our senior year."

After graduation, Bobbi went straight to work for the City of San Diego as a junior clerk in the water department, then had a series of miscellaneous jobs until going to work for UCSD Medical Center at the age of 26 and ended up retiring from there in 1993. She was also a reserve police officer for the city of Chula Vista.

Bobbi is divorced and has one son, Dennis, who also works at UCSD Med Center. She is currently living in the "large" (pop. 624) community of Junction City, LA., out in the middle of nowhere. I have one dog, six cats, and a dozen or so chickens. This year I became a nationally registered EMT for the volunteer ambulance service.

I quilt, do woodworking, and feed all the above mentioned animals.

I love the Web page. What a good idea and a lot of work. I enjoyed seeing all the people from my childhood, it seems so long ago and far away. This last reunion (40th) was the first I had heard of, although my parents only moved from Dakota Drive 5 years ago. I have lived in Iowa for the last 30 years and wonder why I was so eager to leave California when I was a kid. I have been working in the Iowa Prison system, first as a guard and now as a teacher, for the last 23 years and will retire in less than 3 years. Time does fly. I will keep watching your web page. Thanks.
2009 update: Meg now has a summer home in Nova Scotia just two doors from her sister Sue Williams Jensen (Class of 1961). They are both widowed now.

I am happy to be included on this wonderful web site created by Susan especially for the first graduates of Clairemont Hgh. I am sorry I never knew about the class reunions. The day after graduation I moved to Los Angeles to attend the Pasadena Playhouse and embark on an acting career. However, I found the production end of film making more to my liking and worked in the industry until 1998. Aside from my day job in the real world now, all my spare time is ahppily spent volunteering for a no-profit animal rescue organization. I'm very passionate about treating animals with respect and kindness. It was great hearing from Margaret “Meg” Williams and because Laura Lea Ross' daughter saw this web site and told her mom, Laura and I were able to rekindle our old friendship. I would love to hear from Pamela Tedesco and Cecilia Esposito too. Thank you Susi for bringing old friends together again! She sends this more current photo:

Jon married classmate Nancy Brown, but was widowed by her passing sometime after our 20th Reunion. During our search for lost alumni, we discovered Jon actually graduated from Mission Bay High in 1960, much to our surprise. He was such a fixture in the halls and special events with his arm around Nancy, we took him for one of our own! Perhaps he'll join us at the 50th to catch up on the years past.
